Gerardo Garcia was named as the KCAC Newcomer of the Year and Santiago Pagnutti was named as the KCAC Goalkeeper of the Year headlining Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer's All-KCAC selections as KWU placed eight on the All-KCAC teams.
All-KCAC teams are selected by the conference coaches.
The duo were KWU's only first-team selections, while Cole Walgren and Mika Wernicke were named to the second-team. KWU had four honorable-mention picks in Eduardo Flores, Seth Flores, Noel Zimbeva and Jakob Treitl.
Garcia was a huge part of KWU's successes during the season. He scored seven goals and had three assists on the season, but his impact on the field went far beyond goals and assists. At the midfield position, he was responsible in setting up chances for the strikers for the Coyotes to score goals. He commanded attention in the attacking third from opposing defenses.
Pagnutti was outstanding for the Coyotes in goal. He played every minute of every match for the Coyotes, and finished with a 1.00 Goals Against Average in conference play and a 1.20 GAA overall on the season. He had 54 saves during the season and a .684 save percentage overall and a .698 save percentage in conference play.
Walgren was big for the Coyotes on defense at outside back. He helped the KWU defense hold opponents to only 13 goals during the conference season and 24 goals overall. He also played a part on offense, assisting in three goals during the season.
Wernicke was another key part of KWU's defense at center back, he was solid for the Coyotes on the back line, helping secure the line and keep opposing offenses out of goal. Wernicke was also a contributor to the KWU offense scoring four goals on the season.
Eduardo Flores was another key part of KWU's defense that was strong throughout the season.
Seth Flores was solid for the Coyotes as an attacking midfielder. He started 16 of 18 games he played in as a true freshman, scoring three goals and had two assists on the season overall.
ZImbeva was also a big part of KWU's successes at the midfield position. He scored three goals and two assists for the Coyotes on the season.
Treitl came on strong at the end of the season helping the Coyotes from the attacking midfield spot and also played on the front line as well. He scored three goals and had four assists on the season, with two goals and three assists coming in conference play.
