September 16, 1962 - August 14, 2022

Tom Holt, 79, of Gypsum, Kansas, passed away Sunday, August 14th, 2022, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas, after a nine-year battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.

Tom was born in Salina, Kansas on September 4, 1942, a son of Ruth Edith (Armbruster) and Alton Holt. He grew up outside of Gypsum and lived on the family farm his entire life.

He graduated from Gypsum High School in 1960.

On, September 16, 1962, Tom married Ella White in Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.

Tom was a wheat farmer and stockman. He loved to work in his farm shop and enjoyed being outdoors. He was also a member of Temple Church for 52 years, president of the Saline County Farmers Union, was on the Southeast of Saline school board, active in the American Ag Movement and went to Washington, D.C.

Tom enjoyed boating on the Kansas lakes with family. Who knew you can take a boat to the lake with a Crown Victoria car!

Survivors include his wife Ella Holt; daughter Meri Parker (Jim), of Manhattan, Kansas; son Mark Holt, of Gypsum, Kansas; grandchildren Grant Parker (Madison) of Augusta, Kansas, Allison Parker, of Manhattan, Kansas; brother, Jim Holt, of Salina, Kansas; niece Jill Keyser (Tony), of Leavenworth, Washington; and great-nephew Simon Keyser, of Leavenworth, Washington.

He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew Todd Holt.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 19th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, Salina, Kansas. Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20th at Temple Church, 9657 S. Amos Rd., in Gypsum, Kansas.

Burial will follow at Poheta Cemetery, Kipp, Kansas.
