Salina Post

A GoFundMe has surfaced for a Salina family that suffered from a house fire.

Statement from GoFundMe:

My name is Mealy, and I am a mother to three wonderful children—Ethan (18), Bellatrix (12), and Zoe (11). All three of my kids are autistic, level 3, and nonverbal.

On June 9th, our lives changed forever when we lost everything in a devastating house fire. Thankfully, my children and I are safe, but to make matters even more heartbreaking, our three beloved cats—Lacy, Chester, and Pumpkin—did not survive. We are now facing the overwhelming challenge of starting over from scratch, and I am reaching out for help as we try to rebuild our lives.

The funds raised will go directly towards securing a safe place for us to live, covering bills, and providing essential items for my children and me. Our main priority is finding stable housing, but we also need support for daily necessities as we work to get back on our feet. Every bit of help will make a difference in our journey to recovery and stability.

I want to thank everyone who takes the time to read our story, donate, or even just share our fundraiser with others. Your kindness and support—no matter how big or small—means the world to us. Anything we receive will be deeply appreciated as we work to rebuild and create a safe, stable home for my children.
