Salina police are investigating an incident in which a catalytic converter was cut off of a U.S. government-owned pickup.
Sometime between Jan. 12 and Thursday, someone cut a catalytic converter from a Ford F250 pickup belonging to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) while the pickup was parked in the lot at the USDA office, 760 S. Broadway Boulevard, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.
The pickup was last used on Jan. 12 and the theft was discovered on Thursday.
Total loss was estimated at $1,200, according to Forrester.
