Police are investigating a shoplifting incident at a local retail store Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect entered Target, 2939 Market Place, at approximately 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, took two baby monitors off a shelf, put them in a black draw-string bag, and left the store, Salina Police Detective Sergeant David Villanueva said this morning.

According to Villanueva, the monitors were valued at $450.

The man was described as wearing a white hat, black mask, black and white Nike golf shirt, and jeans, Villanueva said. The suspect is believed to have been involved in other instances of shoplifting, he added.
