Kyle Cox Martin

Kyle Cox Martin, 38, of Assaria passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Kyle was born March 19, 1985 in Salina, KS to Richard and Julianne (Cox) Martin. He married Molly Loder on March 7, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Salina.
Kyle graduated from Smoky Valley High School in 2004. He was a multi-sport athlete and went on to play tennis at Hutchinson Community College where he earned an associate’s degree in business. Next he moved to Colorado for a year, working as a hunting guide and cowboy for a ranch by Greeley, CO.
After moving back to Kansas, Kyle attended Kansas State University for two years, despite being an avid Kansas Jayhawks fan. He worked as an operator for CHS Refinery in McPherson and as a land agent and realtor for Red Cedar Land in St. Johns, KS.
Kyle was a member of The Ark Church in Salina. His passion was the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, farming, cattle- he was in the process of passing these passions on to his two boys. Kyle was the founder of the Smoky Valley Whitetails Unlimited chapter and was one of the founding members of Ducks Unlimited at KSU.
He is survived by his wife: Molly Martin of the home; his children: Kruze (8), Kash (4), and Kassidy (1); his parents:Richard and Julianne (Cox) Martin of Lindsborg; brother: Eric Martin (Kristin) of Lindsborg; sister: Haley Schmitz (Brandon) of Wamego, KS; father and mother-in-law: Monte and Julie Loder of Marquette, KS; grandparents: Sonja Martin of Salinaand Doris Cox of Assaria; aunt and uncle: Connie and Kermit Dorf of Assaria; uncle: John Martin of Salina; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and close friends.
Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents: Richard D. Martin and Fred Cox, Jr.
Kyle chose to give the gift of organ and tissue donation. Cremation will follow.
The family will greet friends at a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
Memorial services will be held 10:30 am on Friday, February 2 at First Covenant Church, 2625 E. Magnolia, Salina, KS with Pastor John Huseman officiating.
