KDOT announces approved December bids: Saline/Saline Co. bid over $1 million for highway construction and maintenance projects

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has announced the approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects.

Some of the bids presented included many areas of Kansas, such as Salina/Saline County.

The bid mentioned I-135 interchanges at Water Well Road, Schilling Road, Magnolia Road, East Mentor Road/West Smolan Road and Crawford Street in the city of Salina for a price of $1,545,937.65.

Other areas in the north central region included:

Dickinson: I‑70, from 0.31 mile west of the I‑70/K‑15 junction east to 2.3 miles east of the I‑70/K‑43 junction, milling and overlay, 8.4 miles for a price of $11,065,074.33.

Ellsworth: K‑156, from the Barton/Ellsworth county line east to the north city limits of Ellsworth, milling and overlay, 20.2 miles, for a price of $5,577,048.74.

Geary: U.S. 77, from the end of hot mix asphalt at Foot Locker north to the Goldenbelt Boulevard/U.S. 77 junction, pavement patching, 1.0 mile, for a price of $790,761.89.

Marion: U.S. 77, from the Butler/Marion county line north to the U.S. 50/U.S. 77 junction, milling and overlay, 11.6 miles, for a price of $3,427,493.71.
