A local man was arrested Monday on multiple requested charges stemming from two cases being worked by the Salina Police Department and the Saline County Sheriff's Office.
On Saturday, a 29-year-old Salina woman told police that her boyfriend, identified as Brandon C. Loder, 36, of Salina, had repeatedly battered her the previous night and had taken her cellphone, Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus said this morning. She was finally able to get away from him later on Saturday morning and report the alleged incident.

Hanus said that based on evidence collected during the investigation, the following charges were requested for Loder.
●Criminal threat
●Robbery
●Domestic battery
●Criminal damage to property
Then on Monday at approximately 8:15 a.m., a deputy was sent to the 4000 block of N. Hedville Road for the report of 2011 Toyota Camry alongside the road, Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning. A call had come in that the car had run out of gas.
When the deputy ran the license plate, he discovered that it did not go with the car. When he ran the VIN number, he discovered that the car had been reported stolen.
Soldan said the deputy then went to the convenience store on N. Hedville Road near Interstate 70. and found out that a man had come in needing gas. The man borrowed a gas can from the store. He also left a bag with keys to the car in the store, Soldan said.
While the deputy was in the store, a man in a pickup stopped and said that he had just been giving a guy with a gas can a ride, but when the passenger saw the deputy, he asked the driver of the pickup to not stop and to let him out up the road. The pickup driver thought it was suspicious, so he stopped to report it.
Soldan said the deputy found Loder walking along N. Hedville Road with a gas can. When Loder was taken into custody, he allegedly was found to be in possession of a pipe with methamphetamine residue on it and some marijuana.
In addition to the charges requested by the Salina Police Department, the Saline County Sheriff's Office requested the following charges for Loder, Soldan said.
●Interference with a law enforcement officer
●Possession of methamphetamine
●Possession of marijuana
●Possession of drug paraphernalia
●Possession of stolen property
