Paul L. Blochlinger, age 76, of Concordia, passed away on Monday, Oct. 4, 2021 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS. He was born on Dec. 7, 1944 in Concordia, KS to Henry L. and Stella M. (Richard) Blochlinger.
Paul graduated from Miltonvale High School in 1963. He married Delores Conn on March 2, 1965 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Miltonvale. Paul began working for Quartzite Stone Co. and later Abram Ready Mix as a truck driver for over 43 years until his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Paul grew up on his family farm in Miltonvale, where he and his brother helped his mom work the family farm and enjoyed riding his horse Sparky.
His favorite pastime was spending time with his wife of 56 years, his children and grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and vacationing with his family. Paul believed in hard work, trusting God and loving his family.
He is survived by his wife Delores, Concordia; daughters Sherri Biery (Steve), Clyde and Sandra Zamecnik (John), Salina; son Brad Blochlinger (Krissy), Salina; brother Charles Blochlinger (Mary Beth), Concordia; grandchildren Ryan Biery (Kaitlin), Blake, Austen and Thomas Biery, Trenton (Shannon) Zamecnik, Jadyn Zamecnik, Jarret and Jordan Blochlinger, Kemper Wilson, Rayden and Easton Kirby and great grandchildren Brynn Biery & Brooks Biery.
He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved grandson Tanner Zamecnik.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. David Metz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021 from 1-8 p.m. with a rosary service at 6 p.m. with the family greeting friends after the rosary, all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
