NORTH NEWTON - A goal by Bethel in the 80th minute forced the Threshers and the Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer team into a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night at Thresher Stadium.
It was a nearly even match for the teams as both had seven shots with four on goal, and three saves in goal.
After a majority of the first half was spent with the teams understanding each other's tactics, the Coyotes finally broke through in the 32nd minute as Gerardo Garcia scored to put the Coyotes up 1-0.
The lead head for the Coyotes until the 80th minute when Bethel got the equalizer from Filip Maksimovic.
The Coyotes had a chance to get the go-ahead goal in the 84th minute, but the Coyotes were called for offside taking away a 1 on 1 chance.
Three different Coyotes had two shots each.
Wesleyan is back in action on Saturday, hosting Friends University at JRI Hospitality Stadium.
