The Southeast of Saline Trojans will head to Minneapolis tonight looking for the season sweep of the 11-4 Lions.

SES enters this game at 9-6 having won eight of their last ten contests.

Minneapolis comes in fresh off a big win over Ellsworth, but the team has hit its worst skid of the year, three of their last five.

The first time these two met, Southeast handed the Lions their first loss of the season 58-55, and got great scoring performances across the board with double digits from Cam Spano-Lund, Nakari Morrical-Palmer, Jaxson Gebhardt and Eli Sawyers.

They're the best offensive rebounding team that we had seen the first time we played them, and they're still the best offensive rebounding team that we've seen,” SES head coach Bryson Flax said. “They give themselves so many opportunities to score by going hard to the glass. We will have to make an extra effort to turn and find them crashing.”

Minneapolis will once again be led by Spencer Davidson and Trent Moeckel, who have been dealing damage to opponents all season on both sides of the floor.

“Spencer Davidson is tricky because he's a big physical dude that can step out and play on the perimeter as well,” Flax said. “Moekel is shooting the ball really efficiently and they're getting more and more production from Freshman Mister Smith.”

SES continues to make a push to host a sub-state game, but this late into the season there is very little room for error.

All games are important because they count towards substate seeding,” he said. “The difference is that we are trying to climb up and be able to host a first round game. So slip ups won't allow us to do that.”

Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 immediately following the girls game and as always games can be heard on KINA (910 AM or 107.5 FM).
