LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Athletics unveiled new changes to the Anderson Family Football Complex, the home of Kansas Football, on Monday, featuring a brand-new walkthrough space, team room and additional meeting spaces.
The newest additions to Anderson Family Football Complex come after recent upgrades to the facility, featuring a renovated weight room, locker room, athletic training space, fueling stations, player lounge, athlete recovery space, staff locker rooms, staff meeting rooms, student services center and more, making Anderson Family Football Complex one of the premier football facilities in all of college football.
“The renovations to Anderson Family Football Complex will have a profound impact on our student-athletes, as it gives them a place to train, recover, study, fuel and enjoy,” head coach Lance Leipold said. “These additions to the facility wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support that we have received as we continue to give our student-athletes one of the best experiences in all college football.”
The brand-new walkthrough space features a 2,400 square foot space with a videoboard that will deliver in-game scenarios to help the Jayhawks prepare for gameday. The videoboard will have the capability to simulate various in-game situations along with serving as an event and recruiting space.
With a view overlooking the new David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, the new team room features a theatre-style seating with 180 custom Jayhawk seats which will be used for team meetings and events.
With the reimagined David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium set to reopen in August of 2025, more additions to the Anderson Family Football Complex are on the horizon, including a team dining area, a new team entrance to the stadium, creative studio, enhanced equipment room and more.
When completed, the additions to Anderson Family Football Complex will feature over 33,000 square feet of new construction and 40,000 square feet of renovated space within the Anderson Family Football Complex.
