
Sharolyn Stout, 89, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Ottawa County Health Center. She was born September 5, 1936, in Ottawa County, to Lowell and Lena (Hendrixson) Morton.
Sharolyn was a 1954 graduate of Minneapolis High School then she attended Brown Mackie College in Salina. She worked as a secretary at the Minneapolis Clinic for many years. She and Dick Popham were married in 1955 and they later divorced. Sharolyn married Cline Stout in 1980, and they enjoyed traveling all over the United States and Canada. Sharolyn was known for beautiful quilts and embroidery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cline; and siblings, Sheila and Gail.
Sharolyn’s survivors are her daughters, Debbie McDonald and husband, John, Pam Klewein and husband, Rick, and Vicki Novotny; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Sharolyn’s daughters will be forever grateful for the care she received while living at Oak View at the Ottawa County Health Center and would ask that memorial contributions be made to them.
