Craig Farwell, Beloit
June 29, 1959 - September 22, 2021
Craig Allen Farwell was born on June 29, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of William and Patricia Buffington Farwell. He died suddenly on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 62.
Craig grew up around Beloit, where he graduated from high school in 1977. Following graduation, he attended Beloit Vo-Tech in the auto mechanics program.
He grew up around the carpet and paint store that his father operated, Farwell and Sons, and learned the flooring trade from his father. He continued in the field for 40 plus years. He was a very hard worker, as he also sided houses, and remodeled homes.
Craig was very loving, and dedicated his life to taking care of his son Jordan. He was also an avid sports fan, and would always watch his KU Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs. Craig was a member of the Beloit First United Methodist Church. He remained friends with his former wife, Donna, and they enjoyed their time together going places, and attending church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Craig is survived by his sons Jacob and Jordan, both of Beloit; his step-children Jaime Lewis and husband Jeff, and Jeremy Sanborn; step-grandchildren Ella Sanborn, and Paxon, Pressley, and Phoenix Lewis; his brother Curt and his wife Rhonda of Beloit; nieces and nephews Reece and Tori; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 28 at the Beloit First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, September 27 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the National Association for Down Syndrome.
