Gas station altercation results in juvenile punching man and shattering his car window.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Thursday evening, officers were dispatched to Kwik Shop on West Crawford for witness reports of an altercation that occurred in the parking lot.
Reportedly, a 46-year old male victim stated he was threatened by another male who said he was going to "shoot him" along with punching him and shattering his car window.
This happened because the suspect allegedly hit the victim's vehicle with the door of his car. The victim then called out the suspect and the altercation ensued.
However, officers interviewed the suspect who is aged 16 and admitted to punching the 46-year old man because he made a "derogatory comment" towards him.
The suspect denied he made the threat.
The 16-year old male was arrested without incident for the requested charges of:
Criminal Threat, Battery and Criminal Damage to Property.
The damage to the victim's car window was valued at $350.
