North Salina Community Development

The North Salina community invites the public to participate in an open forum on Thursday evening.

The purpose of the forum is to gather valuable input from Salinans regarding the relocation of Salina's commercial bus stop, currently situated at Thomas Park.
The forum will take place at the Salina Salvation Army on N. Santa Fe and will start at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening

Currently  the Greyhound and Beeline bus services drop off and pick up passengers once during the day, as well as at 3:00 a.m., along the frontage road near Thomas Park on N. 9th Street.

Concerns have been raised about the discomfort experienced by passengers during the early morning stop in winter temperatures.
Designated bus stop signs, benches, shelter, and inadequate lighting have been highlighted as additional issue

This forum is a direct response to suggestions made during the North Salina BBQ Picnic held in June. Attendees of the picnic expressed their concerns, prompting the need for this discussion.
The aim of the Open Forum is to thoroughly evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of proposed alternative sites, ultimately reaching a consensus on two to three viable locations.

North Salina Community Development extends a warm invitation to everyone interested in this matter to attend the forum, which will take place at the Salina Salvation Army on N. Santa Fe. The event will start at 7:00 pm on Thursday evening.
Your presence and valuable contributions will greatly contribute to the development of our community.
