Republican candidates for both state and national offices rolled in to the Tony's Pizza Events Center parking lot last Friday as part of the “Fire Kelly. Fire Pelosi. 2022 Kansas GOP Bus Tour." With them was U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall as emcee.

The tour had a total of 27 stops across Kansas.

Even with the cooler temperatures and rain, the bus was welcomed by about 75 rally participants, as well as dozens of Derek Schmidt, Kris Kobach,  Stephen Johnson, Tracey Mann yard signs and American flags. Other signs had the messages "Sue Biden" and "Don’t Blame Me I Voted For Trump."

State Rep. Stephen Johnson, Assaria, who is running for state treasurer and U.S. Rep. Tracey Mann, an incumbent running to keep his seat in the U.S. House, both spoke at the event.

"I really believe that the path to the governorship and to Cedar Crest for Derrick and other statewide candidates to get elected is through the First District," said Mann. " We've got to make sure that we show up to vote, we get our friends and family all over the First [District] all over Kansas to vote."

As the countdown to election day continues, time was on each of the candidate's minds  including gubernatorial candidate, Attorney General Schmidt.

"I am asking for your vote but more than that, I am asking for your blood, sweat and tears the next 32 days. We need you to take yard signs," said Schmidt. "We need you to knock doors we need you to talk to your friends and your neighbors at church or at work or in your neighborhood."
