
Florene Jackline Steinle, 89, of Salina, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Born on March 9, 1936, in rural Lucas, Kansas, Florene was the daughter of Charles August Casper and Luella Fae (Beatty) Casper.
Florene dedicated her early years to work as a telephone operator and later embraced her role as a homemaker, nurturing both her family and home with unwavering care and quiet determination.
On October 24, 1954, Florene married the love of her life, Edward Leroy Steinle. Together they built a life rooted in love, devotion, and family—a partnership that spanned over 70 years.
Florene is survived by her three sons: Edward Steinle Jr. (Judy) of Salina, Kansas; David Steinle (Roxanne) of Montana; and Troy Steinle of Derby, Kansas. She is also survived by her sister, Bertha Hilmer (Ray) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her grandchildren, Jacob Steinle, Samuel Steinle, Josh Steinle, and Barbara German; and her great-grandchild, Aiden Steinle.She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Edward, who passed just days earlier on June 18, 2025; and eight siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 1, at Bavaria Cemetery in Bavaria, Kansas. Pastor Jim Winterstein will officiate.
The family requests that donations be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
