OTTAWA COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 8a.m. Friday in Ottawa County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Chevy Malibu driven by Joseph Adam Huiett, 25, Tescott, was westbound on Kansas 18 just east of 50th Road. Hulett fell asleep. The car traveled left of center and spun into the south ditch. An eastbound 2019 Dodge Ram driven by Heather Steen, 42, Lincoln spun and came to rest in the westbound lane facing southwest.
EMS transported Huiett and Steen to Salina Regional Health Center. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
