On Monday, City Manager Jacob Wood discussed bids for water main replacement projects for a few Salina neighborhoods.
According to Wood the city received four bids for water main replacement projects for Dover Drive, Larson Street, 10th and 11th Streets on August 6.
The low bid is just over $2 million and the high bid was about $3.7 million. City staff will be reviewing those bids and then present them to commissioners at the next public meeting on August 24.
"I anticipate we might have construction start in the next 45 days," said Wood.
Wood added they have received about 15 applications for the recent residential water quality temporary relief policy.
