At 6:53 a.m. Thursday morning, the Saline County Sheriff's Department found 22-year-old Rylan Whitmer hiding in a trash can in the 100 block of North Eighth Street in Salina.

Wednesday afternoon, a 24-year-old woman drove to the Salina Regional Health Center emergency room after she received multiple injuries from her boyfriend, Whitmer.

"She drove up to the front of the ER — he [Whitmer] bailed out of the car and took off running, and we couldn't find him," said Saline County Sheriff Rodger Soldan. 

Salina Regional treated the woman for her injuries while deputies pursued Whitmer.

Soldan told Salina Post that the Saline County Sheriff's Department arrested Whitmer on the following requested charges:
