Salina Post
A Salina Church is encouraging the community to come together and volunteer for the sake of feeding children across the globe.
The church has collaborated with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), a Christian nonprofit that provides nutritious, volunteer-packed meals to children around the world. One dollar will feed a starving child for 3 meals.
Around 400-500 volunteers are needed, and the organization needs $30,000 to fund 101,000 meals (less than $.30 per meal).
On October 24 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm & October 25 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Salina First United Methodist Church (122 N. 8th Street), volunteers will serve to pack meals for starving children across the world.
Registration opens on September 12.
You can either sign up as an individual or with a team using your name and email address. A reminder email will be sent before your packing shift.
