LAWRENCE, Kan. – The first conference matchup between Kansas and Colorado since 2010 will be played on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 2:30 p.m. CT and be televised on FOX, the Big 12 announced Monday. The game will be KU’s fourth and final home game played at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
The game will mark the renewal of a longtime conference rivalry that spanned from 1948-2010. The Jayhawks and Buffaloes competed together in the Big Seven (1948-57), Big Eight (1958-96) and Big 12 Conference (1997-2010) before Colorado departed for the PAC-12 Conference. Colorado leads the all-time series 42-25-3, including a 17-16-3 advantage in KU home games. Kansas, however, won four of the last five meetings between the programs prior to Colorado leaving the Big 12, including a 52-45 victory in 2010 in Lawrence.
For Kansas, this will be the first appearance on FOX this season and first since defeating No. 6 Oklahoma 38-33 on Oct. 28, 2023. The Jayhawks are 2-0 when playing on FOX under head coach Lance Leipold, which also includes a 51-22 victory over UCF on Oct. 7, 2023.
Kansas improved to 3-6 on the year and 2-4 in Big 12 play with a 45-36 victory over No. 17 Iowa State on Nov. 9 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The Jayhawks are now headed to Provo, Utah for the first time to face league-leading No. 7 BYU on Saturday, Nov. 16.
