Monday through Friday, APAC Shears of Salina will continue working on the City of Salina’s annual asphalt mill and inlay project. The schedule is as follows, weather permitting:

The work consists of milling the existing asphalt street surface 1.5” and replacing it with new asphalt to rehabilitate and preserve the pavement section. Permanent pavement markings will be placed shortly after the resurfacing.

All streets other than Riffel will be closed to through traffic while the work is completed. Cloud will be closed from Quincy to Norton while the work is being completed but detours will be provided. Traffic will be maintained on Riffel while the work is being completed. Motorists should expect modest delays and are encouraged to avoid the work zones altogether if possible.

The $916,000 project is a major component of the City of Salina's $4.7 million 2022 maintenance capital improvement program.
