One person was injured when a pickup crashed into an SUV Wednesday evening in central Salina.
Mellanie Shadden, 55, of Salina, was northbound on South 11th Street in a 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup when she turned onto the 600 block of West Jewell Avenue and struck a 2014 Nissan Murano that was parked there, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. The crash occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, he added.
Shadden complained of minor body aches and pain and a headache, and was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center, Forrester explained.
The pickup sustained disabling front end damage and was towed from the scene, he noted. The Murano also sustained front end damage, Forrester added.
No citations have been issued and the crash remains under investigation, Forrester reported.
