A small earthquake shook part of Dickinson County late Tuesday night.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey (KGS), a 2.6 magnitude temblor struck at 10:29 p.m. Tuesday southeast of Hope. The quake was centered north of 500 Avenue between Quail Road and Rain Road.
