Law enforcement has recently located card skimmers on pumps at a gas station in north Salina.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to Flying J gas station (2250 N. Ohio) for the report of a card skimmer found on one of the diesel pumps.
SPD stated on February 13, a business in town reported they used the diesel pump and noticed fraudulent charges on their credit card.
Officers confirmed of finding the skimmer on the diesel pump. SPD is warning the public if they have used any of the pumps within the last month to be aware of any fraudulent charges.
Skimmers are an illegal covert device installed over, or inside, genuine card readers at ATMs, fuel pumps and point-of-sale terminals to steal credit/debit card data.
