The Salina Police Department is investigating the death of a person found in the yard of a central Salina residence this morning.
Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges told Salina Post that SPD personnel were dispatched the neighborhood north of East Crawford Street and east of South Ohio at 9:31 a.m. Sunday for the report of a deceased person in a front yard.
Tonniges said that a death investigation currently is under way and that no other information could be released at this time. Salina Post will update this story as information becomes available.
