The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a tornado warning in effect until 6:45 p.m. Friday for part of Dickinson County.
At 6:12 p.m. CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 4 miles southwest of Carlton, moving north at 35 mph.
HAZARD: Tornado and golf ball size hail.
At 6:10 PM, weather spotters reported a funnel cloud north of Durham.
Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
Locations impacted include Abilene, Enterprise and Carlton.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 271 and 275.
