A handful of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late afternoon and this evening, mainly across central Kansas, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita.
The primary threats for central Kansas will be dime to quarter size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph. The main area of concern will be northwest of a Great Bend to Salina line.
