Anneliese Frieda Stewart, 91, of McPherson, KS, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021, while in the company of family members at the Cedars House.
Anneliese was born in Berlin, Germany on June 27, 1929, a daughter of Ann (Braun) and Jonas Hans Krenz.
Anneliese attended and graduated from the Berlin schools, Berlin, Germany.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church McPherson, KS.
Anneliese was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. Through the years she worked for Sterling Drug as a line tester and retired in 1991. She also worked at East Kansas Peter Pan and at Mr. Z's Donuts, much to the delight of her children.
Anneliese enjoyed baking, cooking, and knitting for her family and the best part of her life was taking care of her family. She will also be remembered for her afternoon coffee time with her family and friends. She loved volunteering at the Cedars Coffee Shop while a member of the Cedars Village.
Anneliese F. Krenz was united in marriage to Junior Dale Stewart on February 8, 1949 in Berlin, Germany. Their union would produce four children, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren by the time of her passing.
She is survived by her children, Sandy Baldwin and husband Bob, of McPherson, Ray Stewart and wife Karla, of McPherson, Bruce Stewart and wife Kirsten, of McPherson, and David Stewart and partner Bill Block, of Wichita, Kansas; her seven grandchildren, Jenni (Gunner) Peterson, Jessi (Mike) Boughfman, Haley (Eric) Richards, Shayna (Luke) McElwain, Brandon (Kelley) Stewart, Kaden Stewart and Kadee Stewart; her ten great-grandchildren, Ryder and Sailor Peterson, Kendall and Kelby Boughfman, Harper and Rory Richards, Gavin and Norah McElwain, Lauren and Brayden Stewart.
Anneliese was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dale Stewart; sisters, Hannelore Lackey and Elfrieda Krieg.
A Celebration of life will be held on June 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedars Conference Center in McPherson.
