William ‘Bill’ Roth, 80, of Pharr Texas, began his journey to Heaven on Tuesday January 30th, 2024. His parents, Dan, and Wilma were there to welcome him to his eternal home.
Bill was born on May 15th, 1943, and raised near Wayland, Iowa. He was the second of six children. Upon graduation from high school, he left Iowa and went to a diesel mechanic school in Omaha, Nebraska. While there, he met the love of his life.
Bill and Gloria were married on October 27, 1962, in Neligh Nebraska and spent 61years and 95 days together. They had 5 children and raised them near Oakdale Nebraska. Then, in June of 2006, they made their way to Pharr Texas where Bill knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life. Bill always enjoyed it when people would come down to visit and he never knew a stranger. Bill was the local handyman and summer lay pastor for Paradise Resort Estates in Pharr. If anyone needed something, they would say “Call Bill, he can do it all.”
He was very light-hearted and generous, which he passed on to his children. Bill had a strong faith and knew at the end he was ready to be with the Lord. He has left behind his loving wife, Gloria, his children Todd (Denise), Barton, Teresa Brown (Mike), Shawn (Andrea), Candice Marshall (Brad), 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and his sisters Jean Young, Liz Miller, Susie Bruegge (Bryan), and brother Scott (Jolene), and sister-in-law Pat Roth, and many family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John, brother-in-law Lyle Miller, nephew Ben Roth, and daughter-in-law Sondra.
There will be a celebration of life on March 1, 2024, at 3:15 pm in Paradise Resort Estates, Pharr, TX.
