MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-State women’s basketball head coach Jeff Mittie has added another international talent to the 2026-27 roster, as guard Tèa Clèante from France has signed with the Wildcats.
“We are excited to add Tèa as she is a dynamic and versatile guard,” said Mittie. “She can score, distribute and impact the game defensively with her speed and aggressiveness.
A sophomore on the 2026-27 K-State roster, Clèante comes to K-State following a season at Penn State. She played in 28 games with 24 starts and notched 244 points (8.7 ppg) on a .406 field goal percentage (93-of-229), including .302 from beyond the arc (35-of-116). Clèante reached double figures in points in 10 games, including two efforts of 20 or more with a career-high 23 points at Saint Joseph's on November 16.
The product of Dunkerque, France, registered nine games with two or more connections from long distance including a career-best five at Saint Joseph's. Clèante dished out 80 assists (2.9 apg), including a career-high eight against VCU on December 20.
Before joining the Nittany Lions, Clèante played for the French national team since the U17 level. She helped France to a pair of gold medals at the European Basketball Championships in 2024. In the gold medal campaign at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket, she averaged 13.3 points, 3.7 assists and 1.4 rebounds per game.
In seven games of action during the 2023 FIBA Women’s European Championship, Clèante tallied 10.1 points, 3.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds.
The 2026-27 K-State roster will feature players from the United States, Belgium, France, Slovenia and Spain.
