The Minneapolis Lions (4-4), will open postseason play on the road this Friday when they travel to Silver Lake (7-1).
This will be the first all-time meeting between the two sides.
“My guys are looking forward to the challenges that Silver Lake poses," Lions head coach Tom Flax said. "Silver Lake is a great team that is very athletic. We have some athleticism that we feel can match up well. If we are able to control the line of scrimmage that will help pave our way to victory. ”
The winner of this matchup will advance to the round of 16 in this year's 2A playoff to take on either Sabetha (7-1) or Atchison Co. (4-4).
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 at Silver Lake High School.
