Posted Apr 15, 2021 12:59 PM

Widespread precipitation will develop late this afternoon and continue through Friday.

Most of southern and eastern Kansas will see predominantly rain. However, rain may mix with snow across portions of central Kansas, the National Weather Service in Wichita noted. Where snow mixes in, light accumulations on elevated surfaces and grass may occur.

Well below normal temperatures also are expected on Friday thanks to the widespread precipitation, clouds, and north winds. For reference, normal highs this time of year are in the upper 60s, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita.
