SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer wrapped up the non-conference portion of the schedule on Tuesday with a 5-3 win over Mission University.

The Coyotes were highly efficient in their shot on goal percentage in the match, scoring five times on just nine shots, seven on frame.

Jose Valdez led the way for the Coyotes with two goals, while Juan Manuel Lozada Leon had a goal and two assists.

Mission was on the board first in the 10th minute on a goal by Nevaun Lindo.

The Coyotes hit the equalizer in the 15th minute as Alejandro Diaz Castro scored off a set piece assist by Lozada.

Valdez record the first of his two goals in the 35th minute to give the Coyotes a 2-1 lead at the half with Lozada on the assist again.

Lozada extended the Coyote lead to 3-1 with a goal early in the second half, but Mission responded with two goals, a penalty by Michael Sosa in the 49th minute and another tally by Lindo in the 58th.

The Coyotes converted a penalty in the 69th minute by Valdez to complete his brace and Jose Caballero capped the scoring for the Coyotes with a goal in the 84th minute.

Valdez had four shots to lead the Coyotes.
