ONGOING INVESTIGATION: No suspects arrested after two vehicles were reportedly burglarized

No suspects were arrested after two vehicles were reportedly burglarized in Salina.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Thursday, August 21, two vehicle burglaries were reported to occur between the evening hours of Wednesday, August 20 and into early morning on Thursday.

Reportedly, the first burglary happened in the 1100 block of Harbor. SPD stated an unlocked parked vehicle was burglarized in the driveway of residence in the area. Stolen was a wallet, backpack containing miscellaneous documents and an iPad. Total loss was valued to be over $600.

The second reported burglary occurred in the 1200 block of Nautical. This burglary was to another unlocked parked vehicle in the same area. Stolen was a Playstation 4 and several small hand tools. Total loss was valued at over $300.

SPD confirmed the stolen iPad from the first burglarized vehicle was tracked to be in Lindsborg. The Lindsborg Police Department assisted SPD and located the vehicle to be at an apartment complex in Lindsborg.

However, the iPad was not located.

No further information was provided and SPD stated they are currently  investigating burglaries.
