The snowflakes have been hung and individual downtown merchants are preparing for Sunday's Holiday Open House.

While store hours on Sunday will be at the discretion of each merchant, the general hours of the open house event will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, according to information from Salina Downtown, Inc.

Why worry about potential holiday gifts sitting on cargo ships off the west coast of the United States when there are so many shopping options in downtown Salina?

While the participating merchants will have their usual wares, some will be introducing new arrivals. Others will include special holiday-themed items.

Some merchants plan to have special promotions for the open house, while others plan to have door prizes and contests. Many also will have tasty, festive treats!

One thing's for sure, the event will include fun, festivities, and fabulous finds.
