HILLSBORO, Kan. - A pair of second half goals for the Kansas Wesleyan Women's Soccer team sent the Coyotes to a 2-1 win over the Tabor College Bluejays on Wednesday at Joel H. Wiens Stadium.

Tabor got an early goal in the fourth minute of the match and would hold the 1-0 lead into the half.

The Coyotes scored almost as fast to start the second half as Tabor did in the first.

Emma Gervy scored the equalizer goal for the Coyotes in the 49th minute. Brooklyn Velotta threw in the ball from the sideline and tried to find Alexandra Muro with the toss, but instead a Tabor defender tried to clear the ball that ricocheted off Muro and to Gervy who played the ball to the middle of the field and shot, glancing it off the right post and in.

In the 62nd minute, the Coyotes grabbed the lead.

Wesleyan had a set piece on a corner kick from the left side. Carstyn Anderson took the corner and found the head of Hanna Castro who hit it across the open face of goal to Rylie Moreno-Rojas who knocked it on off the bottom of the crossbar for the goal.

Wesleyan had a few other chances to extend the lead but could not find the net again.

KWU had 18 shots in the match, putting 13 on frame led by Gervy with four. Isabella had 10 saves in goal for the Coyotes.
