Lee Nave passed away, Friday, October 27, 2023 after a long battle with Interstitial Lung Disease. She was born in Moran, KS to mom, Leila Sigler and dad, Vuew Sigler in June 1951. Lee and her mom moved to Wichita where she attended East High School. She met and married Jack Smith and they had one daughter, Jennifer. They moved to Salina in 1979 where Lee enjoyed a 32-year career with the local energy company. She had also opened her own photography studio in 1990, La Vogue Photography, which she operated for 15 years. She thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people and pleasing them with her creative efforts.
Lee met Claude Edward Nave and they were married in 1993. They had 30 wonderful, loving years together supporting each other unconditionally. For 29 years, they lived in the same house and had so many friends and neighbors. They were especially supportive during her long illness through home visits, meals and thoughtful caring.
Surviving are her husband, Ed Nave of the home; daughter, Jennifer (Smith) Papka of Houston, TX; stepdaughter, Marcia Evans (Gary); stepsons, Edward Lee Nave and Samuel J. Nave (Katie). Ed and Lee were blessed with their grandchildren; Nick Papka and Leah Papka of Austin, Jacob Evans and Lucas Evans of Overland Park, Elle Nave and Harrison Nave of Overland Park.
There will be no visitation and a celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 4th at Emmanuel Church Salina, 1325 E. Cloud, casual attire.
