Etris promoted, to work at KHP training academy

The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) has announced the promotion of Master Trooper Gregory Etris to lieutenant.

Etris will assume supervisory duties at the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy (Troop J) in Salina, according to a news release on the Kansas Highway Patrol Facebook page.

Etris joined the KHP 2014. His first duty station was Finney County, Troop E. Additionally, he has served three years as a Special Response Team Medic in Troop S.

Prior to joining KHP, Etris served as a first sergeant in the United States Army. He retired in September if 2013 after 23 years of military service.
