Eagle Media radio stations in Salina are encouraging the community to pick up and help distribute water to those affected by the recent water quality issues.
910 AM/107.5 FM KINA and 99KG have collected a large amount of water for Salina residents with unhealthy and undrinkable water. The station is calling on the community to visit and distribute to neighborhoods and residents affected.
The station is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and is located at 1825 S. Ohio Street.
"We just want to say thank you to the community that has helped, and we are here to continue assisting those who need it," said Chris Cadle, Program Director for KINA 910AM and 107.5FM
Recently, the Salina Commissioners decided to approve the "Water Rate Relief Pilot Program" with amendments that included:
- The coverage of water charges back to January 2025.
- Set up of a house filtration system costing $750.
- Development of special circumstances for residents who do not have sufficient funds to afford the water filtration system.
