UPDATE April 27, 2021: It has been reported that former Vice President Walter Mondale's funeral services are being scheduled for September. Additionally, flags at the White House and the U.S. Capitol have been returned to full staff.

United States flags are to fly at half staff in honor of former Vice President Walter Mondale.

Mondale died Monday at his home in Minneapolis, Minn. He was 93.

Per U.S. Flag Code, flags should be lowered to half staff immediately and remain at half staff until sunset on the day of his interment. That date has not yet been announced.
