Police are looking for a subject who was involved in a hit-and-run accident early this morning in south Salina.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. Friday, a 2015 Dodge Dart that was southbound in the 2000 block of Highland struck a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan belonging to Chalyce Leaton that was legally parked along the west curb, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.

Witnesses told police that the driver of the Dart left the scene of the accident running to the north, Forrester said. Witnesses described the driver as a white male weighing approximately 150 pounds and wearing a hat and a tanktop.

The Dart had major front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene, he said. The Grand Caravan had rear and driver-side damage.
