JaNelle Busby, 67, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 7:45 p.m., Saturday, January 16th, 2021 peacefully at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas.
JaNelle was born in McPherson, Kansas on August 9, 1953, a daughter of Foster B. Busby and Nan Elizabeth (Burton) Hale.
JaNelle attended Lincoln Grade School, Park School and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1971. Shortly after graduation she went to Colorado for a short time, then traveled to Galveston, Texas where she remained until three years ago.
JaNelle spent most of life living it to the fullest, until she was diagnosed with COPD which made it difficult to do much. She worked hard and was a proud owner and operator for Bill's Western BBQ, Galveston, Texas. After she sold her business, she began a career with Time Warner Cable Company as a supervisor in Houston, Texas.
JaNelle was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Unit 366, Hillsboro, Kansas.
JaNelle was a member of the First Christian Church in McPherson.
JaNelle enjoyed partying and having fun with her friends and family.
She is survived by her mother Nan Hale, of Inman, Kansas; her siblings, Kay Busby, of McPherson, Kansas and Larry Busby and his wife Jan, of McPherson, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.
JaNelle was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father and her husband.
Celebration of life service will be held on May 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the McPherson Cemetery.
