Rocko Moses Talley, the only son of the late Duane and Lois Talley, passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2024.Born in Salina, KS on December 6, 1976, Rocko grew up enjoying wrestling and baseball. He started his career in baseball as a catcher in Little League before playing at the American Legion level. He shared his passion for sports with his son Braxton Lee Talley, age 14.
He was delighted at the birth of his daughter Kenzie Belle Talley, age 12, and enjoyed allthings “girly” with her. Although Rocko was a great athlete, he would tell you his greatest accomplishments in life are his two kids, who he loved with all of his heart.Rocko graduated from Salina Central High School and attended Kansas Wesleyan University where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. Rocko valued the time spent with his friends, especially his buddies Jorge, Dan, Tony, Bryan and John, all ofwhomcan tell stories about Rocko’s great sense of humor.
In addition to his two children, Rocko leaves behind his wife Dana Hogan and her five children, Jasmine Merrell, Selena Merrell, Dawson Hogan, Dakota Hogan, and Chance Hogan. Although Rocko was an only child, he had many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him and who will miss him dearly.A rosary service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20th at St. Mary's Catholic Church,230 East Cloud Street, Salina, KS, with a Funeral Mass to follow.
