Kan. woman hospitalized after crash involving Salina teen

ELLSWORTH COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 4p.m. Friday in Ellsworth County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Ford F250 driven by Wayne Richard Elder, 14, Salina, was southbound on K-14 just north of Interstate 70.

The driver was distracted and the pickup traveled left of center.  The driver overcorrected. The pickup spun out of control and struck a northbound 2020 Dodge Challenger driven by Stacie Lea Davis, 45, Ellsworth.

EMS transported Davis to the hospital in Salina. Elder was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
