Appointments being taken for children's COVID-19 vax clinic

The Saline County Vaccination Collaboration has scheduled its first COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children ages 5-11.

The Pfizer vaccine will be used, according to information released this afternoon by the collaboration.

The first dose will be administered on Wednesday, with the second administered on Dec. 8. Both doses will be administered from 3:30-7 p.m. at Lakewood Middle School, 1135 Lakewood Circle. Please enter through the north main entrance.

Appointments are required. To schedule a vaccination appointment, call 785-825-7251 ext. 416.

Pediatric consent form paperwork can be found at vaccinatesalinecountyks.com or during event. Children will be vaccinated in private rooms and then will wait in the library for 15 minutes after vaccination.

The Saline County Vaccination Collaboration is comprised of the Saline County Health Department, Salina Family Healthcare Center, and Salina Regional Health Center.
