The Southeast of Saline Trojan softball team swept the Sacred Heart Knights on Tuesday to stay perfect at 6-0 on the season.

SES took home victories of 12-4 and 6-4 dropping Sacred Heart to 3-3 on the year.

Lexi Jacobson got her first start of the season in game one and pitched immaculately, allowing just four runs on five hits and striking out four in six innings of work.

The Lady Trojans found themselves down 2-1 heading into the third inning, but began to pour it on after that, collecting a run in the third, three in the fourth, five in the fifth and two more in the seventh to take a 12-4 victory.

The top of the Trojan lineup had a monster day in game one, as Carly Commerford, Maddie Harris, Brielle Ptacek and Chase Gilpin wrapped up the game 9/19 with all nine RBIs on the day and just one strikeout.

Sacred Heart got out to a lead in game two as well, rallying for three runs in the third inning to take an early 4-1 lead over SES.

The Trojans entered the final inning trailing 4-2 but ripped off four unanswered runs to complete the comeback and the sweep of their cross-county rival.

Sacred Heart will be at Beloit on Thursday while the Lady Trojans travel to Chapman on Friday looking to keep their undefeated season rolling.
