Lottery tickets worth hundreds of dollars stolen from Salina gas station

A suspect stole lottery tickets worth hundreds of dollars Sunday morning from the Jump Start gas station in Salina.

According to Salina Police Department Capt. James Feldman, at around 6 a.m. on May 12, an unknown suspect broke into the gas station located at 220 W. Magnolia Road. 

"An employee came to open the business in the morning, found a glass door had been shattered out in the entry and lottery tickets stolen," Feldman said.

The suspect allegedly stole multiple different types of lottery tickets before they left the scene. Feldman said the suspect broke into the gas station using the south entrance.

The total damage done by the unknown suspect amounted to $1,400 with $600 accounted for in the damage to the broken door and the remaining $800 as stolen lottery tickets.
